One of the extra difficulties about Covid is that we 
sometimes don’t get to hear things about colleagues, or at least hear very late.
We have only just heard that sadly Mike Beard died in October 2020. We had been concerned that it had not been possible to contact him, so Andrew Varney did some detective work and found a funeral director’s notice of his death. Mike died peacefully on 15th October 2020 at Avondale Care Home, aged 78.
Mike qualified in 1964/65. He was appointed to Middlesborough in 1967 and Devizes in 1972. He was a former Managing Trustee of CABA and a former CABA Hon Treasurer.
